Dr. Atomic Conceptual Design Project

Based on an opera centred on Oppenheimer and the creation of the first atomic bomb, the project explores the psychological tension between scientific ambition and moral consequence.

The stage takes the form of a fragile hollow sphere, constructed from scaffolding and translucent fabric. Shifting silhouettes appear and dissolve across its surface, suggesting a mind gradually fragmenting under pressure. Textured sand across the stage records traces of movement, allowing memory, weight, and consequence to accumulate physically within the space.
