The Tempest-William Shakespeare
Conceptual Design Project
Immersive Theatre
The Turbine Hall, Tate Modren, London, 2023

This is an immersive theatre piece based on Shakespeare’s The Tempest, merging site-specific theatre, installation and interactive art. The work transforms the monumental industrial space into a dreamlike environment where illusion and reality constantly intertwine.
Reimagining Prospero’s magic as a metaphor for human imagination and control, the theatre invites audiences to step inside an inflatable, sensory landscape shaped by light, sound, and movement. Within this shifting space, the boundaries between theatre, installation, and audience dissolve revealing how we build, inhabit, and become trapped within our own illusions.
